Kingborough Council offers a variety of services for general waste, recyclables and FOGO waste collection. The Council provides two waste and recycling centres at Barretta and Bruny Island. At Barretta there is a Reuse shop which accepts and sells re-usable items.
The Council has adopted a Waste Management Strategy which aims to reduce waste, increase recycling rates, improve resource recovery and engage effectively with the Kingborough community.
