The Kingborough Community Hub has been the subject of numerous awards for its flexible and striking architecture. Recently the Alan C Walker Award for Public Architecture was awarded to the Kingborough Community Hub and architects March Studio at the Tasmanian Architecture Awards. Completed in 2019, the Hub was designed to meet the needs of a range of community and corporate hirers.

Auditorium, Terrace and Longley Gallery
The Hub offers a variety of spaces for hire including the Auditorium, which can seat 120 people, which still complies with COVID safety measures. It boasts a unique bi-fold door, which opens up to the Terrace creating a perfect indoor/outdoor venue with the mountain as it’s backdrop. Auditorium has already hosted successful film screenings, markets and ceremonial events, with high-quality audio-visual equipment.
Off to the side of the Auditorium is the Longley Gallery, which is suitable for pop-ups, workshops and meetings. The immediate street frontage allows for maximum exposure.
Middleton Room and Whitewater Room
Other hireable spaces include the Middleton Room, a large training and meeting space with the capacity to host smaller exhibitions and events.
The Whitewater Room sits at the rear of the Hub with a perfect view of kunanyi/Mt Wellington and is a contemporary space for local businesses and community groups to hold meetings and small events.
