Join us for a cuppa and cake at our community meet ups and learn to crochet and contribute to an all-ages collaborative yarn bomb.

A special event will be held this Thursday 20 June, 6pm - 8pm, to celebrate Refugee Week at the Kingborough Community Hub.

Enjoy the screening of 'Rosemary's Way' - a touching documentary set in the suburbs of Sydney which shows the impact one woman's big heart has had on isolated women from refugee and migrant backgrounds.

Special guest Arad Nik from @persiaspantry will also share the story of his journey to Tasmania as a refugee from Southern Iran.

Delight in delicious and authentic Ethiopian food by @queen_sheba_injera_catering as part of the evening.

Tickets are $15 which includes your meal.

YAK is included in planning events and having a say in issues that affect young people in our immediate community.

If you are aged 13 – 22, or know someone who is, please reach out to join the group. We meet monthly with guest speakers, activities or pizza, and our May meeting is only a couple of days away.
