Come learn natural dyeing and printing techniques with Coralee from Inspired By Nature Tasmania
About this event
Come learn natural dyeing and printing techniques with Coralee from Inspired By Nature Tasmania. You will explore colour and printing potentials from food waste and native plants through traditional and modern practices with mordanting, heat transfer and shibori techniques. You will be given a 350mm x 1500mm piece of silk that you can create into a wall hanger, use in your sewing or embroidery projects, or just keep as a beautiful scarf.
What to bring:
Tea and coffee is provided.
Please bring lunch or there is an option to purchase locally. Bring apron or wear clothes that are fine to get a little messy.

Coralee has been experimenting with natural dyes to create art pieces that allow you to immerse yourself into the natural world. She hopes to inspire curiosity with practices that are simple, traditional and environmentally friendly.
