Make Your Own Elixirs

Discover how to extract plants for medicinal use.
About this event
This three-hour intensive workshop will delve deep into the various ways that plants can be processed in order to capture their medicinal qualities.
Sarah is a qualified naturopath with a long history of using herbs and works professionally as a herbal medicine manufacturer. She will teach you the ins and outs of which preparation is best suited to different herbs as well as the specific formulas you can use to create good quality herbal remedies.
Suitable for beginner to intermediate makers. All herbs used in the workshop will be certified organic.
YOU WILL LEARN:
HOW TO MAKE INFUSIONS + DECOCTIONS – Much more than a good cup of tea. Discover how to make therapeutic water-based drinks.
HOW TO MAKE HERBAL SYRUPS + VINEGARS – Discover how to make quality home remedies with easily obtainable ingredients.
TO CREATE YOUR OWN ELIXIR – Discover fundamentals of the herbal formula and experiment with creating your own mix.
INTRODUCTION TO TINCTURE MAKING- Learn the basics of tincture making using both fresh and dried plants.
All participants will leave with their own handmade elixir.
