Kangatraining is a fun workout for mums with babies who want to get out and connect with other mums and get some exercise
About this event
Kangatraining is specifically designed to strengthen women’s bodies post pregnancy and childbirth through an energetic, fun filled class.
Kangatraining includes a warm up with babies in our arms, we then do some floor work which focusses on pelvic floor strengthening, we then put babies in carriers and begin some choreographed exercises as well as squats, lunges, arm exercises and strengthening all whilst listening to upbeat popular music.
Women are able to begin Kangatraining from 6 weeks postpartum following a vaginal birth and 11 weeks after a caesarean (both after being given the all clear from their health professional).
Women participating should bring:
– blanket for baby to lie on during our floor work- a yoga mat (if they have one) some spares are available just in case- a suitable carrier for baby (some spares available in case a mum brings one that is unsuitable)- water to drink
