Great Kingborough Bake Off winners

Great Kingborough Bake Off Pip Bricher and Anica Boulanger-Masberg won the Open Award Pride Theme.

The 2025 Great Kingborough Bake Off was held at Kingborough Community Hub on Saturday, 22 February with 35 entries showcasing creative and colourful decorated cakes and cupcakes.

Acting Mayor, Clare Glade-Wright said Council was proud to support the TasPride Summer Festival with its second Great Kingborough Bake Off.

“This LGBTIQA+ inclusive event was open to everyone, and the competition featured a wonderful range of skilfully decorated cakes,” said Cr Glade-Wright.

“Judges included Local Pastry Chef Kirsten Bacon, Vice President of TasPride Inc Sielito and local Kingston GP and a finalist in the 2022 Great Australian Bake Off Dr Nurman Noor.

“The judges were thoroughly impressed by the quality and imagination of the entrants from competition.

“Pip Bricher and Anica Boulanger-Masberg won the Open Award Pride Theme, winning a $500 voucher from Minimax.

“Tilly Hutton won the 12-18 years Rainbow Theme, winning $200 voucher from Minimax.

“Florence Lewis won the Under 12’s Open Theme, winning a $100 voucher from the Pancake Train.

“Jules Koerbin won the People’s Choice Award, winning a $100 voucher from the Salty Dog.

“Thank you to all the wonderful people who entered, the community who attended and our fantastic judges,” said Cr Glade-Wright.
