Kingborough Council would like to wish all residents and visitors a happy, safe and peaceful Christmas and New Year.
The Council offices will be closed between Christmas and New Year.
The Civic Centre will be closed from 12.00pm on Monday, 23 December and will re-open at 8.30am on Thursday 2 January 2025.
Alonnah Service Centre will be closed on:
- Wednesday 25 – Thursday 26 December
- Wednesday 1 January
Alonnah Service Centre will be open on:
- Tuesday 24 December, 9am – 2pm
- Friday 27 December & Monday 30 – Tuesday 31 December 9am – 5pm
Barretta Waste and Recycling Centre & Re-Use-Shop will be closed on 25 December only.
The centre will be open on public holidays from 9am – 4pm; the usual opening hours apply to all other days between Christmas and New Year.
Kerbside Collection Service: No collection on Christmas Day. Collections scheduled for 25 December will occur on Saturday 28 December. Please take bins out by 6am.
Bruny Island Waste & Recycling Centre open the regular days and hours: each Monday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday 8am – 3.30pm.
Kingborough Sports Centre will close on Saturday 21 December at 4pm and will re-open on Monday January 6 January at 8.30am.
Kingborough Fitness Centre will close from 12pm on Tuesday 24 December and will reopen 27-31 December from 8am to 12noon.
The Fitness Centre will close again on Wednesday 1 January and will resume normal days and hours from Thursday 2 January.
