Kingborough Council will host its popular Night of Lights event this Friday 26 July from 4pm until 8pm.
Mayor, Paula Wriedt said the well-attended winter event provided an exciting occasion for families and friends to celebrate in Kingborough.
“There will be heaps of things to do and see including a lantern parade, Police Pipe band, food trucks, glow in the dark – kids craft, and a children’s performer,” Cr Wriedt said.
“People who want to join the parade will gather in the carpark of Kingston Park and be led by the Police Pipe Band through the park before reaching the Hub’s Town Square.
“There will be children’s entertainment by Mr Shaggles who will perform his interactive one man show in the Auditorium.
“On the night we will also have live music from duo Embers, along with a spectacular fire twisting show and dancing by Aaloka Dance Academy.
“This year we are encouraging families to turn up at 4 pm to make some lanterns for the parade at 5.45pm.”
