Draft Multicultural Action Plan

Kingborough Council is committed to creating a community that is inclusive, safe and respectful for all.

Kingborough Mayor, Paula Wriedt said to address the needs of our multicultural communities, Council has created a Draft Multicultural Action Plan with the help of a community advisory group,” Cr Wriedt said.

“Council is currently seeking feedback on our The Draft Multicultural Action Plan which can be viewed on Council’s website.

“Kingborough has one of the highest multicultural populations, with over 21% of residents born overseas here, so it is important that we make sure that everyone in community feels welcomed and included.

“In 2023, Council conducted a consultation to seek better understanding of the needs and issues concerning Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) community members.

“Through this consultation process a Draft Multicultural Action Plan was developed which includes actions designed to celebrate and improve inclusion for community members in Kingborough.
