JackJumpers in Kingston

Kingborough Mayor, Paula Wriedt welcomed the announcement from the State Government that the JackJumpers’ High Performance Centre (HPC) would be located in Kingston.

“It is fantastic to hear the reigning NBL champions will continue to train here in Kingborough,” Cr Wriedt said.

“Our community loves the JackJumpers and have warmly embraced them.

“We know that many of the players have settled here in Kingborough and are becoming part of our community life, buying their homes and enrolling their children into local schools.

“Council will continue to work with the JackJumpers and the State Government on finalising a location within the Kingborough Sports Centre precinct.

“Locating the JackJumpers’ HPC in the sporting precinct is also great news for Kingston High School which has a focus on sports, health and wellbeing.

“We are fully committed to working with the JackJumpers and the Department State Growth to make this a reality as quickly as possible for everyone.”
