A cheerful chain of woolen spring daisies has been installed at the Kingston Library, Civic Centre and Beach Road for Mindfulness Day, 12 September 2022.
The Kingborough Mayor said the art piece was designed to inspire smiles in the community.
“This giant daisy chain has been put together by some fabulous crocheters and knitters in our community,” Cr Wriedt said.
“Throughout the winter months, participants of all ages came together at the Kingston Library and KIN Creative Space to crochet and knit this amazing artwork.
“I would also like to thank Craftdyllic for facilitating the project and bringing the community together.
“The project was designed to beautify the street as well as celebrate this annual day which raises awareness around benefits of being mindful.
“I would like to thank the team at Kingston Library for their wonderful support as well as all the amazing volunteers who helped stitch this daisy sculpture together.
“I have heard that Yarn Bomb Kingston are an expanding group, so I look forward to the work that they will do in the future and congratulate them on the fantastic sculptural piece.”
