The new Green Waste Kerbside Collection Service will be in operation from 1 July 2020.
The new kerbside green waste collection service will be automatically provided to properties who meet the following criteria:
- Properties that are currently on the kerbside general waste and recycling service and are;
- Larger than 400 square metres.
- Smaller than 4,000 square metres.
- Unit complexes that have three or less units.
You can opt-out if you are within the above parameters and do not wish to receive the service.
You can also opt-in if you are not within the above parameters but do currently receive a waste and recycling kerbside collection service.
We are asking people to please opt-in or opt-out by Monday, 16 December 2019 so we will be able to organise bins and a service provider.
If you have not opted out prior to the deadline date they will be included on the service for the 2020-21 financial year and therefore liable for the service fee. You can still opt-out after this date, and will be excluded from the service for the 2021-22 financial year. Please have your property identification number (PID) ready as this is a requirement of the form. This is the number on your rates notice.
Letters are being sent to all properties on the kerbside collection service.
